MIAMI RESTAURANT OWNER CHARGED WITH MURDER

OK. I concede that trying to kill your unborn child is bad enough but Joshua Woodward took this to new low levels. Woodward, owner of Table 8 in Miami. Woodward who is now married to Ocean Drive editor Suzy Buckley is accused of attempting to force abortions 4 times on his former girlfriend in 2009 by way of the abortion drug misoprostol. In October 2012 Woodward was arraigned on four counts of "attempted, willful and premeditated murder." I will have much more to say about this in my article in Tropic Style Magazine

Greetings from Miami

Hi everybody. Happy New Year to all of you. Here's to a new year full of good health, friends, family, food and fashion. It's a balmy day here well into the 80s and it's humid- as in sauna humid. On the downside when it gets like this some girls feel the need to take a cool dip in their perfume bottles lol. You know what I'm getting at here. Perfume so thick you can taste it as they walk by. Anyhoo I am up to my sunnies in press releases sent by some great PR companies. And there will be a lot of posts made as soon as I can. Please be patient everybody. I am the only one working on this blog. Plus I have Tropic Style, Miami Fashion blogger, Haute Miami to work on as well.

Wordpress "reblogging" another term for Copyright Violation

“Reblogging” violates Copyright laws. On Tropic Style Magazine’s website, we use the Wordpress platform. Although one of us has had some problems with the compatibility of this platform with their computer, the rest of us like it for it’s ease of use. But there is something very wrong with Wordpress that is causing big headaches and extra work for me: their “reblog” feature. This should be completely removed or at least made available as an add on feature for those who welcome their work to be stolen and republished. Wordpress claims there is no way to disable it. Yet, I cannot see why Wordpress would want to encourage other people from stealing content including photographs. There are way too many “blogs” that are comprised entirely of pilfered content. They add absolutely no value to the internet anyway and in fact diminish the integrity of the original articles. Tropic Style Magazine has a Copyright notice posted ,but even if no notice was posted, international Copyright laws apply. I do not want my work republished on other websites or blogs and these unfortunately seem to be the ones that I would never want my name associated with. Because Wordpress opens the door for burglars, we have been sending out DMCA notices like you would not believe. Content theft occurs on all blogging platforms, but Wordpress makes it fast and easy for the thieves. The point is, most thieves are lazy. They will only steal what is fast and easy to steal. These are my fashion articles and photos that are being stolen. A blog hosted by Google stayyoungmadonna.blogspot.com was the most recent offender. You can see that the anonymous administrator who hides behind the screen name “Madonna” steals content from everywhere. Nothing is properly attributed either but that does not resolve a copyright issue. In this case, they removed my name and Copyright from the article. These people think that a link at the end is all they have to do- a small price to pay for what they stole. The link to Tropic Style wasn’t even a live link. Live links pointing to a website will boost it’s search engine ranking. By not providing a live link, they demonstrate that their intent is not to increase your traffic or ranking but rather simply to attract attention to their blog. As you can see, the basis for my complaint is not missed publicity or website traffic. I don’t need publicity. Have you had a look at my world map? I have traffic coming from every country around the world. And what reason would anybody have to click on any source link after they have already read the same story? I never do. Not only did this bogus Madonna blog steal my entire article, but they also stole my entire headline verbatim (they could not even be bothered to write their own title!) and they invited their readers to republish what they stole from me and from Tropic Style magazine. These types of blogs steal content to attract visitors so they can make money from adsense or whatever. And it’s not as though there is any commentary from these so called bloggers when they republish stolen content either so it’s like there is any point or purpose from “reblogging” other than attempting to profit from what they stole. Wordpress defends this feature by claiming that they only allow excerpts to be grabbed. I think it’s about 86 words. That is no except. And if you do a lot of photo blogging like a lot of us fashion critics do, then there goes your entire post. The internet has long had problems with unverifiable sources, uncredited articles etc. Surely, Wordpress is aware of this. We all are. Wordpress sends a clear message to thieves that it is okay to take it. Everything is free on the internet, right? This honestly is the most frustrating part of writing on the internet. It’s aggravating. It’s upsetting.. it’s illegal but it drains my creativity. I have never been in the business of providing lazy “bloggers” with free content and I do not intend to start now. If you cannot write in your own words, share your own ideas and thoughts, then what the hell is the point of having a blog in the first place? It is of no benefit to those using a search engine when it turns up duplicate articles rather than unique information. Additionally, when, not if but when your content gets reblogged, while Wordpress provides attribution , whoever reblogs from the reblogger will see the content thief get the credit and not the original author or source. Inability to track down and verify the original source is a headache for researchers and likely those who are stealing fashion articles attract Public Relations firms who invite them to exclusive events. I really think that these web hosting companies should be held accountable for what is uploaded and hosted on their servers. Google claims they are not responsible for what their users write, but Google (Blogger) really needs to police their blogs because the majority of these spam and content scraper blogs are hosted on blogspot.com. Wordpress.com does not hold Copyrights to any users content but yet, they invite other bloggers to violate Copyright and distribute your content free of charge. Needless to say that our discovery of this “reblog” button and our ability to disable it has caused the editors a great deal of concern and we are considering using another platform altogether. Any websites found publishing our material will be met with a legal notice and so will their hosting company. Hopefully, if Wordpress gets enough complaints and or lawsuits, they will be motivated to disable this feature or at least to allow their users to opt out.

Cauley Square is more enchanting at Christmas

what could possibly make the historic railroad village, Cauley Square more enchanting? Cauley Sqauare at Christmas time.
I had the pleasure of visiting our local treasure a week before Christmas. Here you will find some great fashionable finds, including boutiques, one of a kind jewelry creations, art galleries and antiques. But you have never seen Cauley Square until you see it at night during the holiday season. For those of you who are not familiar with Cauley, it is located at 22400 Old Dixie Highway in Miami, Florida 33170. These businesses are operated out of landmark cottages built by pioneers of Miami. This was a stop on Henry Flagler's railroad and the men who settled here helped to build the railway out into Key West.
